Kansas Action for Children has released the new 2016 KIDS COUNT.

The Data released Tuesday indicates that Reno County is making strides compared to that of the state and its semi-urban peers – like the number of kindergartners who are fully immunized and a low number of teen violent deaths.

But the data shows there’s room for improvement, as the county has a lower median household income, and more children participating in free and reduced lunches and living below 100 percent of the poverty level.
