Pittsburg, KS – The Family Resource Center celebrated with cookies and cake balls for their 20th birthday.

The event also had the president from the Kansas Action for Children speak on the impacts of the Center on Children.

Despite recent changes in the Sunflower State, the president commends the FRC on the work they have done in the Pittsburg Community.

Annie McKay of Kansas Action For Children says, “Two decades in the longevity of this program through a great recession, through consecutive rounds of state budget cuts really shows not only the community’s commitment to the center, but also the staying power of an organization like this.”

To continue the celebration, there will be another presentation next month on the impacts of early childhood learning during economic development.
